Description
The ADICS project aimed at promoting inter community dialogue amongst young people from Marjayoun (Christian), Hasbaya (Druze) and Khiam (Muslim), by raising their awareness on Human Rights values.

Based on a "peer to peer" and participatory approach, the inter community initiative has trained in a first stage 9 "young leaders" on Human Rights values, enabling them to become trainers themselves and diffuse these values amongst their peers on a larger scale.

The program targeted around 360 young people from Marjayoun, Hasbaya and Khiam through 72 awareness sessions (conferences/debates) that took place in schools, youth clubs and municipalities. Training sessions were given by previously trained "young leaders", under the supervision of the project's coordinator.

The ADICS project ended with an art competition through a series of creative workshops intending to encourage beneficiaries to express their own conception of inter communities exchange and coexistence in a diverse society.

A booklet compiling the best works produced by the participants to the creative workshops was presented at the closing ceremony of the ADICS project, on 31 March 2007. This booklet is now available and distributed to schools and other institutions, in order to encourage the development of initiatives similar to ADICS, promoting Human Rights and Intercommunity Dialogue.
