Iraqi / Lebanese Children & Youth Empowerment through Non Formal Education and Psychosocial Activities

Funding partner : Save the Children - Sweden

Duration : one year

This project  is executed at Amel’s center in Haret Hreik and targets both children and youth.

The project aims at providing the beneficiaries with vocational trainings such as: make up and tattoo, hairdressing for women and men, Graphic design, accessories and handicrafts, computer, beauty care, and Business Management and Planning, in addition to remedial classes in English, Arabic and Math subjects.

By providing non formal education activities to children and adolescents, the project will contribute to preserve one the main Child’s Right: the Right to Education. Moreover, by providing classes also to the adults, the project intends to give a chance to their parents or relatives to help them during their homework and ensure the sustainability of the activities implemented at the Center.
