Danish Refugees Council
Business Management Training for Iraqi and Lebanese women

Funding partner: DRC (Danish Refugee Council)

Duration : 6 weeks (from mid July to end of August 2009)

 Amel association with the collaboration of DRC ( Danish Refugee Council) has executed a 6-week (from mid July to end of August 2009) project named “ Business Management Training for Iraqi and Lebanese women”. Within the framework of the project, Sessions about the following topics were given: Business Management & Financial Education, Supplier Trip and Computer Training Sessions. The project aimed at promoting Iraqi and Lebanese women access to labor market , improving their business management skills ,enhancing women self reliance and self confidence and establishing a good working relationship through visiting the suppliers and purchasing the products. It targeted Lebanese and Iraqi refugee women who were working in Iraq but are not able to find a job in Lebanon, are currently trying to work and not being paid for and are victims of exploitation at their work place, already have a business project but need to strengthen their management skills , and those who wish to learn new skills in regards to being resettled.
