Prevention of Child Labour Among Iraqi Refugees

Funding Partner : International Labour Organization

 

Duration: August 2007 to January 2008

 

This project aimed at contributing to the elimination of child labour among refugees children in Lebanon, while addressing the current pressing concerns regarding safety and protection of children from the most disadvantaged groups.

 

The project aimed at assisting 100 children to gain new skills that would allow them to work in safe environments and under better conditions. NGO Staff, families and the refugee community were also informed of risks associated with child labor and its immediate and long term impact.
