The project aimed at implementing sensitization sessions on breast cancer in 17 villages of South Lebanon.

Between October 2007 and January 2008, doctors and social workers organized sensitizations sessions in the selected villages surrounding Bazourieh and Khiam. Women were taught breast self-examination main gestures and encouraged to take a mammography at Amel centers in Khiam or Bazourieh.

In addition, an educative booklet on breast self examination was published and is distributed in the targeted areas.
