Resources and Partners
Amel relies on institutional funding and private donations by friends and philanthropists in order to execute its projects.
Partners
Cooperation and coordination with other institutions is another strong principle according to which Amel plans and programs its activities. In order to play down duplication and competition in the field of development, Amel gives great emphasis to coordination with public institutions and other NGOs. Beginning of 2003, Dr Kamel Mohanna, Amel's President has been nominated General Coordinator of the Lebanese NGOs Network.
Locally, the association cooperates with institutional bodies (municipalities, Ministry of Health, of Social Affaires, National employment office) and other Lebanese NGOs, particularly in the framework of the Lebanese NGOs network. The association is also working with the private sector, with which it has established partnerships (Byblos Institute, FTML-Cellis).
Internationally, Amel cooperated with numerous partners during the past ten years.
